We Pick Our Favorite 2020 Toyota Army Green Between 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia and Tacoma

Toyota has 4 of its most popular trucks and SUVs coming out this month in Army Green color. See which one we think looks best in this exclusive new color.

Every year Toyota releases a new exclusive color that is reserved solely for its TRD Pro models. This has become tradition. The 2018 TRD Pro color was Cavalry Blue and last year for 2019 it was Voodoo Blue.

This time around Army Green has been chosen to represent the toughest, most rugged Toyota SUVs and trucks. I think it will become very challenging to find and secure one of the Army Greens, due to its enormous popularity.

For example, the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro was just released to dealerships, and I am told there is already an 8 to 12 week waiting time to get one in many parts of the country. This may replace the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid as the hottest vehicle around.

What is the best-looking Army Green Toyota is offering? We have the 2020 Tundra, 2020 Tacoma, 2020 Sequoia and 2020 4Runner to choose from. Let’s take a look at them a little closer so you can pick your favorite.

2020 Tundra looks tough in Army Green

America’s tough and dependable full-size truck, the 2020 Tundra, has a new color and new features to offer potential new owners.

Cab configuration is something customers get to decide on, as the 2020 Toyota Tundra is available in both Double Cab and CrewMax options. People can pick the best truck for them based on if they want a bigger bed or more room in the passenger back seat area.

Also, look for 8” multimedia touch screens that will allow drivers to utilize their standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay applications. Smart key push button start is also standard.

We finally have a 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro

The 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro has already reached dealership lots and it is already turning heads, both in looks and with features.

You can plan on your next Sequoia TRD Pro having black leather seats and red contrast stitching. It seats 7 passengers and has 2nd row captain’s chairs. This is the SUV you want if you need the most passenger space for a full family and must utilize all 3 rows of seats.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 7” touch screen, and smart key are additions you can expect with your new 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro.

Since this is the one Army Green model that has not hit dealerships quite yet, it is the one with the most speculation of how it will look in person.

Some might argue that the 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro has the most upgrades compared to its counterparts. It will feature standard 8” multimedia touch screen, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also, smart key auto open will be found on both driver and passenger doors.

The 2020 TRD Pro has a 10-way power driver’s seat so that people of all heights and sizes will be comfortable both on paved roads and along remote barely-recognizable trails.

New cameras on the TRD Pro show drivers upcoming hazards and obstacles that are in front of, behind, along the sides of, and even underneath their 2020 Tacoma.

Safety and Technology upgrades in 2020 4Runner

I chose to list the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro last, as this one is proving to be quite the conversation piece. You see, I have heard from potential customers all over the country who are having a very tricky time getting their hands on this new Army Green color.

People are telling me dealers in Miami, in New York and even in California are reporting wait times of 2 to 3 months already. These 4Runners are extremely popular and have barely just gone retail.

Some of the reasons for this are the valuable additions to this 2020 4Runner. Toyota Safety Sense has been added across the board, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You will find 8” touch screens as well, centered on a refreshed and modernized control display.

Also, look for standard double rear seat USB ports to accommodate the needs of back seat passengers.

Time for our vote and for your vote

Having seen all of these 2020 TRD Pro models together, I would like to say my vote is that all of them are equally as brilliant in Army Green. My Mom still uses this line when my sisters and I probe her to find out who is her favorite, “I like you all equally the same.”

However, I will not use that line this time. I will save it for when my kids ask me that very same question.

They really do all look great, but I think the 2020 Sequoia looks tougher and more rugged than ever and that is my choice for top dog. This is a controversial selection, as I have already had 4 different people in my office give 4 different answers for their favorites.

First day at the Orange County Auto Show yesterday and the Army Green 4Runner was a huge hit. Lots of people stopping, circling, coming back and taking pictures. Looked great in person.

The Tacoma is my favorite in that cool eye-catching army green color. The bonus for me is that the Taco is the only of the 4 trucks that one can get with a sweet manual 6-speed transmission. I hope to be able to order one. Save the manuals!
