Unlike a Human, Tesla Vision Never Sleeps, Protecting You At All Times

Tesla vision is active at all times when driving a Tesla vehicle. This means you are protected at all times.

Tesla Vision: Protection At All Times

Tesla Vision AI is the way in which a Tesla is able to drive itself without human intervention. There is a computer, cameras, and software that make this happen.

When a person is driving, there is a chance that they will not pay attention. Whether this is grabbing their phone, some food, or talking to someone else, distracted driving happens every day and I think everyone can say that they have done it at one point.

The thing about Tesla's vision AI system is that it is on all the time and never stops working. Even if the driver is distracted, the vision system is constantly checking what is around the vehicle and gauging speed and distances of objects in order to keep the occupants safe.

If you choose to drive a Tesla manually, this vision AI system will still run in the background and protect you. For instance, if you are crossing over the lane lines while driving manually, the steering wheel will shake, telling you to get back into your lane.

Tesla vehicles have numerous active safety features.

Active Safety Features

Elon Musk has said that the next version of Tesla FSD, V11.4 is excellent and that several days of driving to random pin drop locations in Austin yielded zero safety-critical interventions.

Here is an example of a Tesla safety feature. It's called a forward collision warning, and it makes a very audible sound to let the driver know that a collision is imminent without intervention. In this case, the car in front of the Tesla slowed down dramatically for a crow that was on the road.

Someone asked for the original video showing Tesla FSD why there was no steering wheel nag. If the steering wheel is interacted with before the nag, it will reset the nag timer. A simple grab of the wheel will do the trick - or simply scrolling up or down on one of the scroll wheels on the steering wheel.

Tesla also has safety features for how hard a driver brakes or how hard the steering wheel is turned. This feedback is useful for a driver to correct bad driving habits.

Tesla vehicles will continue to get safer over time. Would you get a Tesla?
