Tesla Vehicles Are the Safest in the World As Toyota Found Guilty of Safety Test Result Forging That Has "Shaken the Very Foundations Of the Company"

Tesla vehicles are the safest vehicles in the world and today, an announcement came that Toyota is halting all domestic production after admitting it forged safety test results for 30 years. This is a big blow to Toyota and the safety of its vehicles.

Tesla Vehicles - the Safest In the World

It's a sad day today for automobile safety. Not for Tesla - Tesla vehicles are the safest vehicles on the road, with 5-star ratings from NHTSA. Tesla is designed with safety first above all else.

My 2022 Model 3 RWD constantly beeps at me and warns me when I'm doing anything I shouldn't be, and Autopilot constantly nags me to pay attention.

Not only this, but Tesla vehicles are incredibly strong and structurally sound. A Tesla vehicle had a giant tree fall on top of it and the occupants inside survived.

I'm grateful to be driving an exceptionally safe vehicle. It's a huge upgrade in safety from my Honda Fit prior. That car felt like a tin can compared to my Model 3 RWD that feels more like a mini tank/spaceship in its structural integrity.

I can't go back to buying any other vehicle now - even if the safety was all I got from Tesla.

Toyota - Forging Safety Test Results For Over 30 Years

I'm saddened to report this news to you today, but I got word via X from Sawyer Merritt, who shared an article from CNN that Daihatsu, the Japanese automaker owned by Toyota, is halting production after it admitted to forging safety test results for over 30 years.

30 years? That is unbelievable to me. I wonder if there should be some kind of criminal investigation or punishment.

Sawyer said this via X:

An independent committee found evidence of safety test tampering on 64 vehicle models, including those sold under the Toyota brand. Toyota says this scandal has "shaken the very foundations of the company.”

This has to be one of the longest cons in the automobile industry, and it makes me wonder why nobody caught on until now. I am going to assume that someone caught wind of the forged test results and was going to come to the press, so Toyota decided to instead come out with it themselves.

The production shutdown is said to last through at least the end of January and will affect about 9,000 employees.

This news is disheartening for several reasons - first for those who own any Toyota vehicles. The second is, that if Toyota is doing this - what other automakers are forging test results too? Toyota can't be the only one.

There's sure to be more updates on this in the coming days and weeks, and I'll share more when I get the information.

I'd like to leave you with three questions to think about regarding this matter, that you can answer in the comments:

  • What do you think about the forging of safety test results by Toyota for more than 30 years, and how did it go so long undetected?
  • Should there be some kind of criminal punishment for this?
  • What other automakers might be committing these same acts of forgery?

Daihatsu has a safety test problem, not all of Toyota. Click bait.

Elon has plenty of scandals. If you're using FSD, make sure you got your Tesla on credit.
