Subaru Now Has 4 Of The Hardest To Find New Models This Summer

If you are shopping for a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek, Outback, and Forester, it's not a surprise to shoppers that they are the hardest to find new vehicles this summer. But one Subaru model is a surprise to be on June's 12 hardest-to-find vehicles list. Also, check out the hardest-to-find used Subaru vehicle.

The latest analysis from iSeeCars found the fastest-selling new car in America during June was the star model 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV. The study reveals that Subaru Crosstrek is now the fastest-selling new vehicle in today's market, taking an average of 12.9 days to sell.

Analyzing over 224,000 new and used cars sold in June 2022, iSeeCars.com found that overall, the average new car takes 37.2 days to sell. The 2022 Subaru Forester compact SUV is third overall, taking 14.7 days to sell, and the 2022 Subaru Outback is eleventh overall, taking 22.9 days to sell.

But the surprise Subaru model is the 2022 Impreza compact sedan and hatchback models. iSeeCars analysis reveals that Impreza is the fifth overall fastest-selling new vehicle taking 18.5 days to sell.

The fastest selling and hardest to find new cars are the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek (12.9 days to sell), followed by the Honda Civic (14.1), Subaru Forester (14.7), Honda CR-V (17.7), Subaru Impreza (18,5), Kia Telluride (18.6), Kia Forte (18.6), BMW X3 (19.4), Ford Bronco (21.5), Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (22.3), Subaru Outback (22.9), and Kia Sportage (22.9).

What is Subaru's fastest-selling used vehicle?

iSeeCars analyzed the top 20 fastest-selling used vehicles. The average used car takes 52.1 days to sell, while the top 20 fastest-selling vehicles average 31.7 days and sell 1.4 to 2 times faster than the average used vehicle. The WRX and STI are the second fastest-selling used sports cars next to the Chevrolet Camaro (32.9 days), taking an average of 33.9 days to sell at an average price of $33,102.

Customers won't find many 2022 Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, or Impreza all-wheel-drive vehicles sitting on retailers' lots this summer. "Both new and used car prices rose in June over May as inventory constraints continue to plague the new and used car market," said iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer. "Rising interest rates and high gas prices have also heightened demand for more fuel-efficient and affordable vehicles."

If you are shopping for a 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV, Outback midsize SUV, Forester compact SUV, or Impreza compact sedan and hatchback models, they are now the hardest to find new vehicles this summer. The Subaru WRX and STI are the hardest to find used Subaru models.
