New Hardcore BMW M2 CS Will Get Limited Run [Video]

More new hardcore 2018 BMW M2 CS details are coming out. What can performance fans expect?

It looks like the new 2018 BMW M2 CS will be a very limited run model according to reports by motor.es. The report says the new BMW M2 CS will get a limited run of just 1000 units. BMW hasn’t confirmed its existence, but spy shots and the video clip below shows the hardcore M2 being put through its paces at the Nurburgring.

The video below shows the M2 CS sounding like the M3 which would make it a hardcore model for sure. Reports say the new M2 will feature the same engine as the M3/M4 (S55 engine), but with 400 horsepower. The M2 CS will also get suspension tweaks, new front end styling, upgraded brakes and possibly a rear wing.

Reports say the new performance M2 CS will get special exterior colors, Silver Hockenheim and Sunset Orange, to further set it apart from the standard M2 Coupe. Inside it could get special sports seats wrapped in black Dakota leather with a choice of Polar Blue or Kyalami Orange contrast stitching. Customers may also be able to choose between standard or plush perforated leather.

If the M2 CS is limited to just 1,000 units, the high-performance coupe will even be more exclusive than the M4 CS which has a production run of 3,000 examples. If reports are accurate, the M2 CS will begin production in May with orders starting in January 2018. The 2018 BMW M2 CS could be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November or the Detroit Auto Show in January. Stay tuned.
