According to an updated Consumer Reports (by subscription), with the new 2022 Subaru Outback midsize SUV in short supply this year, there are fuel-efficient used 2-Row SUVs you should put on your list. CR says the 2017 Subaru Outback ranks among the best for shoppers this summer and fall.

The 2017 Subaru Outback is one of the eight top models that are five years old. CR says it’s family-friendly, not as bulky as a 3-Row SUV, gets top safety scores, and is fuel-efficient.

Consumer Reports says the Lexus RX, Subaru Outback, Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, Lexus RX, BMW X5, Ford Edge, Nissan Murano, and Kia Sorento are the best 2017 model year 2-Row SUVs with the best fuel mileage.
