See Why the 2016 Lexus RX was just named to Ward's 10-Best Interiors List
The Lexus RX series has been named to Ward's 10-Best Interiors List for 2016. Vehicles considered for the award must be relatively new. At a minimum, they must be significantly redesigned for the U.S. market for the model year. Ward’s evaluates the interiors of the nominees based on materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, value and fit-and-finish.

WardsAuto Senior Editor Tom Murphy commented on why the Lexus RX earned this recognition, noting that the Lexus features, “…impeccable fit-and-finish, satin brushed-aluminum trim, form-fitting seats and richly finished Espresso Walnut wood that curves gently up from the center console toward the glovebox.” Murphy went on to add,“…The RX is much more than a luxury experience, never seeming to forget its utilitarian purpose. Second-row seats are spacious and comfortable, and they fold nearly flat, exposing a massive cargo hold to accommodate at least a dozen flats of gardenias for hauling home from the nursery.”
18 years ago, the Lexus RX was the first CUV of its kind. The 2016 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h are currently the top-selling vehicles in their class.
