Yes, There Is a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT

Some people seem to believe the arrival of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk led to the end of the Grand Cherokee SRT, but that is not the case at all, as there is a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with the 475 horsepower, 6.4L Hemi – serving as a sort of entry-level super sport utility vehicle below the 707hp Trackhawk.

The biggest news with the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the 707 horsepower Trackhawk model, which is powered by the Hellcat Hemi from the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger SRT models. The Trackhawk is an incredible machine, packing more power and better performance capabilities than any SUV in the world, but the arrival of the 707 horsepower Jeep didn’t cause the end of the Grand Cherokee SRT, formerly known as the Grand Cheorkee SRT8.
Contrary to what some people have stated on social media, yes, there is a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT with the 392 Hemi, with many of the same features as the 2017 version.

Earlier today, an administrator of the JeepGarage.org posted about how some people were insisting that there was no 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which he rebutted with build information on 2018 models with the 392 Hemi. Also, had those folks arguing that the 475hp Grand Cherokee was gone just looked on Jeep.com, they would have seen that you can build and price a 2018 Grand Cherokee SRT – and the company obviously wouldn’t offer an online build and price option if they weren’t offering that vehicle for the new model year.

As was the case for the previous model year, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is powered by the 392 Hemi, which sends 475 horsepower and 470lb-ft of torque towards the wheels via a quick-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission and an advanced all-wheel drive system. This drivetrain allows the Grand Cherokee SRT to dash from 0-60mph in just 4.3 seconds while running the quarter mile in 12.8 seconds – all en route to a 160 mile per hour top speed.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT also has the Drive Modes system with the adaptive suspension setup and adjustable steering, as well as a Brembo braking package which affords this full sized SUV world class stopping abilities.

New features for 2018 include a Premium Metal interior package, a Signature leather package with carbon fiber trim, black exterior badges and new standard 20 inch “Carbon Spider Monkey” wheels.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT starts at $68,490, but if you add all of the available options, the price tops out around $82,450.
