Every year, Mopar has gift ideas for the vehicle lover in your life. This year, Santa’s elves are taking the holiday sweater theme to new heights with what they are calling “Jeep Wrangler Ugly Sweater trail armor”. The clever magnetic removable panels highlight your current model Jeep in a way that we have never seen before. You have to give the designers points for originality and passion.

“Mopar makes it easy to find the perfect gift for car enthusiasts or for daily drivers this holiday season,” said Darren Bradshaw, senior vice president of Mopar North America. “Whether it’s branded gear or merchandise to show off their pride and prowess, or factory-designed and backed performance parts and accessories to elevate their ride, Mopar has a broad range of gift options that combine quality, authenticity and passion for the automotive lifestyle.”

Jeep Wrangler Ugly Sweater Trail Armor

The trail armor is pricey, but it is reusable. That means you can bring it out again year after year, or whenever the holiday spirit strikes you. The trail armor sells for $648 and is tailored to fit current Jeep Wranglers perfectly. It also has a purpose. The magnetic panels protect your Wrangler from scrapes and scratches, which will come in handy during the shopping season. Hopefully, it will lessen the door dings and scrapes from panicked shoppers in parking lots. As with nearly everything Jeep, the holiday panels are brightly colored, with red, green and white scenes of holiday trees, mountains and vintage Jeeps. The panels are easy to attach and can be easily removed and washed for next year. The panels are designed for Jeep Wranglers but probably could be applied to Gladiators as well.

Surprisingly, Mopar is not marketing a holiday sweater for humans this year. It does have a festive, holiday hoodie. There are also holiday socks with the Mopar M available for the gearheads in your life.

New Line of Mopar Pet Gear

Pets are pretty much universal these days and Jeep is known for being extraordinarily pet friendly. Mopar is looking to tap into the growing pet market with a new line of premium pet accessories. Mopar is debuting the new line this holiday season with a “Mopaw rear seat pet carrier”. The carrier is expensive at $218, but is outfitted much like a baby seat. The carrier can clip into the standardized LATCH system in vehicles. LATCH stands for “Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren”. That means the pet carrier could be clipped in to nearly every vehicle with a back seat, regardless of the make of model. This development is brilliant and I would bet that other companies that build things for pets will follow suit quickly, because it will make things so much easier for pet parents.

Other Mopar Gifts Available

Mopar offers a full line of wearables and small items like tumblers and other items for under the tree. For people looking for a more substantial or perhaps, safety-based gift, Mopar suggests some essentials:

  • Wheel locks (starting at $92) offer maximum protection against wheel and tire theft
  • Trailer hitches (starting at $287) safely connect a vehicle to a trailer for towing loads, such as boats, campers and gear
  • Jeep tool kit ($380) is an 83-piece tool kit that has everything Jeep owners need, from basic vehicle maintenance to trail fixes after a day of rugged adventures. Secure storage comes in a heavy-duty tool roll with dedicated sewn pockets and two zippered pouches
  • Tire table ($185) is a durable and powder-coated camping table that uses a vehicle tire for its main support and is stable and level regardless of the ground conditions. It easily holds up to 50 pounds and features a retractable leg for extra support
  • Roadside safety kit ($170) is equipped with tools to aid in any travel emergency, including jumper cables, flashlight (with batteries), screwdrivers, pliers, electrical tape, safety triangle, blanket, bungee cord and gloves, all contained within a black canvas bag

This year, when money may be tight, shoppers are often opting for items that are truly usable and not as frivolous. I really like the idea of the pet carrier and the roadside safety kit that will give the gift of peace of mind for years to come. All items are available from store.mopar.com.
