Jeep is working diligently to rebuild sales of its most popular vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler and the midsize pickup, the Jeep Gladiator. Jeep is adding new trim levels and accentuating how it is building in more value and content to its vehicles and realizing that prices were raised too high. Now, the 2026 Jeep Gladiator is adding a new Sahara trim package that it describes as “Combining rugged capability with premium everyday comfort at exceptional value”.
The 2026 Jeep Gladiator Sahara
The Jeep Gladiator Sahara joins other new models including a Military Inspired Willys '41 Package and a Shadow Ops version. The Sahara nameplate first became a Wrangler option in 1988. The Sahara trim is described as rugged strength with a refined edge.
Design features of the 2026 Gladiator Sahara:
- Body-color fender flares
- Body-color three-piece hardtop
- LED headlamps and fog lamps
- 18-inch aluminum wheels with all-season tires
- Free upgrade to all-terrain tires at no cost
Upgraded Interior Features:
- Leather-trimmed seats
- Heated front seats and heated steering wheel
- 7-inch driver cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen
- Remote start and remote keyless entry
Jeep Gladiator Improving Quality
A recent J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey recently gave the Jeep Gladiator high marks for improved quality and value. The Gladiator beat out vehicles like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger for the top spot. The Gladiator outperforms the segment average in seven of 10 key areas in the Midsize Pickup category and ranked first for Midsize Pickup. This is the second time in three years that Gladiator was top in its segment. Stellantis says its renewed commitment to quality is working!
“We’re building momentum and, more importantly, building trust,” said Yuri Rodrigues, senior vice president, quality, Stellantis North America. “These results show that we’re listening to our customers and putting them at the center of every decision we make. We are focused on setting the highest ambitions in quality, and the time is now to execute."
Jeep Gladiator Realistic Pricing Improving Sales
It appears that Jeep’s more realistic approach to pricing is also improving sales. Jeep reported that “Gladiator Q4 total sales are up 93% year over year”. That is a sure sign that buyers are once again seeing the Gladiator pickup as good value for its price.
The 2026 Jeep Gladiator Sahara trim is available to order now, starting at $47,125 plus $1,995 destination fees. That means the Sahara adds $4,685 in content to a Gladiator Sport S, for only $2,210.

Jeep needs to work on its reliability and customer service before anything else. The customer soon forgets and regrets a purchase despite vehicle options when you are treated extremely poorly and left thousands of dollars out of pocket due to a poor quality product and horrendous customer service.

They need to make and ship there base models that they have those crazy low lease offers for into Florida. Most people don't want to have to order a car and wait, unless it's for something really special. There are Price/Payment shoppers out there, I like the idea of the Gladiator, I just refuse to take a $600-$700 Lease payment based on available inventory.
