Elon Musk Says, "He Is Utterly Wrong" On Ross Gerber's Comment That "Less and Less People Are Buying Tesla Cars Because of Elon's Behavior"

Elon Musk recently shared a post that Ross Gerber is "utterly wrong" when saying that less and less people are buying Tesla cars because of Elon's behavior.

Elon Musk: He Is Utterly Wrong

Elon Musk recently said the following in regard to Ross Gerber, an investment advisor, who said that less and less people are buying Tesla cars because of Elon's behavior.

He is utterly wrong

Let's dive into this comment and see if Tesla is losing sales because of Elon's behavior, or if Tesla is doing just fine regardless of what Elon is saying or doing.

First off, estimates have Tesla delivering anywhere between 480,000 to 500,000 vehicles this quarter - an all-time record quarter for Tesla. Demand appears to be growing and is strong. This will solidify Tesla reaching its 1.8 million vehicles delivery guidance for the year.

Second, the Tesla Cybertruck has huge demand right now. In fact, there is speculation that Tesla is receiving about 10,000 orders per day - after the already existing 2 million pre-orders.

Then there is Tesla energy - also booming, with more and more Megapacks being seen in large quantities shipped out of Tesla's Lathrop Megapack factory.

Tesla energy certainly doesn't seem to be impacted by Elon's behavior at all.

If you were to ask Elon Musk, he would say that supply and demand is simple economics. Everyone wants a Tesla, but not everyone can afford one. He would also say that high interest rates make it more difficult to get a loan, and that Tesla has lowered prices to offset higher interest rates.

Tesla is going to meet or exceed its guidance of 1.8 million vehicles for the year, given for the entire year. We've almost lived that entire year, and it looks like Tesla is going to get there. I don't see Elon's behavior causing Tesla to only deliver 1.6 or 1.7 million vehicles.

My conclusion is that Tesla vehicle sales are strong and growing and Ross Gerber is just trying to "stir the pot" and get attention. He actually owns quite a bit of Tesla stock personally.
