2011 Gratiot Cruise revs up the summer

The 2011 Gratiot Cruise in Clinton Township, Michigan was completed today with fantastic weather, plenty of cars, hot rods, revving engines and a few burnouts.

Having just returned from Traverse City where I covered the 2011 CAR Management Briefing Seminars, I scrambled this morning to get ready for the 2011 Gratiot Cruise in Clinton Township, Michigan.

In this downstate area (as they refer to us in Traverse City and the U.P.), three major cruises make the summer season: the Gratiot Cruise, the Woodward Dream Cruise (Aug 20) and the Harper Charity Cruise (Aug 31). I personally call these the Big-3 of all the local cruises.

Although I have covered these cruises before with other organizations, this year actually marks my first year coverage for Torque News. Good part is, my coverage is now national, where past years were mostly local, unless forwarded by an email link.

In retrospect. I think the Gratiot Cruise is improving with every year. So, I congratulate the organizers, especially adding greater features for the crowd on the west side of the Gratiot boulevard at 15 Mile Road.

But you want pics and videos. So as not to let you down, I took plenty, and will update this page for the next 24-48 hours. Hey, it takes time and work to process the photos, and more so for the videos. Enjoy! And be sure to share with your friends around the country. Be proud of this community and show it off.

The following is a photo slideshow, as the videos are still in process of upload with YouTube.
