BMW announced they will bring a 40th Anniversary Edition BMW 3 Series Sedan to the Japan market. BMW is celebrating the 3 Series 40 year anniversary and they chose the 340i to commemorate the occasion. Outside, the ultra-exclusive 3 Series will be based on the 340i M Sport and comes with a Tanzanite Blue exterior paint job complete with a black grille, satin aluminum accents and 19-inch M light alloy wheels. Inside, it gets Dakota leather seats, piano black trim and a BMW Individual leather-wrapped dashboard. The 20 special editions will also come with heated front seats, a heads-up display and a Harman/Kardon infotainment system.
This limited edition 340i is powered by the all-new 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine that has 326 PS and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque. It comes mated an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels.
