Watch Marco Wittmann push 2015 BMW X6 M to its limits [video]

Normally DTM Drivers Timo Glock and Marco Wittmann race a BMW M4 on the race track. Watch them test a BMW X6 M on the track.

The 2015 BMW X6 M has the most powerful engine ever developed by BMW for an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The 4.4-liter V8 pumps out 575 horsepower. BMW says every BMW M model is built both for the road and the race track. Frank van Meel, the new president of BMW M division accompanied them and talks about BMW M cars in the video below. Watch the two DTM drivers take the corners in the new 2015 X6 at 170 km/h.

Since BMW M GmgH got their hands on them in 2009, the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) feature incredible performance in a unique package.

The new 2015 BMW X6 M raises the bar in terms of dynamics, steering precision, and braking performance. The X6 M is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine with M twin-scroll turbochargers that delivers 575 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. The V8 comes mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. That’s a 3 percent increase over the outgoing models. The new 4.4-liter V8 engine gets even more torque which has been boosted by 53 lb-ft which equates to an increase of 10 percent.

The newly-developed finely tuned package of engine, powertrain, and suspension from BMW M GmgH allows the X6 M to launch from 0-60 in just 4.0 seconds. It makes the new 2015 BMW X6 M the ultimate grocery hauler during the week and track star on the weekends.
