In today's new car buying climate, you can't find the 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, Outback, and other new models sitting on a retailer's lot and drive it home. Now Subaru has a new online "Build And Price" system that allows customers to shop from home, browse through new models, and build and price vehicles online that are not currently in stock or even in transit to the Subaru store.
Upstart, a leading AI lending platform, announced Subaru of America is the first partner in its new 'Build and Price' system and will be added to the Subaru Certified Digital Tools Program.

What does it mean for new Subaru model shoppers?
Built on top of Upstart Auto Retail's innovative digital retail platform, Build and Price makes new car shopping easy before visiting the Subaru retailer. Upstart says the process allows customers "to go through the process of browsing, shopping, and building deals online for vehicles that are not currently in stock or even in transit to the store. Subaru retailers can then work with customers on options and sourcing."
You know how challenging it is if you have been shopping for a 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, Outback, and other new models. With the ongoing inventory shortages for this year and next, "This will make it challenging for consumers to buy the car they truly want." said Michia Rohrssen, General Manager of Upstart Auto Retail.

The online Build and Price platform will allow customers to pre-build the vehicle's year, model, and trim level while making several other build selections. Customers will also see the pricing associated with the build combination. Upstart says every submission includes pertinent customer information, vehicle selection, and build preferences.
Rohrssen says," The Upstart Auto Retail Build and Price product is an innovative way to help customers get started online and for Subaru retailers to provide extra value early in the purchase process." Shane Fouch, General Sales Manager at Byers Subaru, says, "With the Build and Price product, we now can fulfill nearly every customer vehicle request."
When is the new Build and Price system available for customers?
The new Upstart Build and Price platform is coming soon. Customers will be able to build and price 2022 Subaru Forester, Crosstrek, Outback, and other new models online that are not currently in stock or even in transit to the Subaru store.
