New Honda CR-V Gets Improved LX Trim, 25 Reasons Why The EX Hits The Sweet Spot

The 2020 Honda CR-V gets an improved Base LX trim, but there are reasons you don’t want it. See why the EX trim hits the sweet spot.

Every automaker offers its base trim with a low MSRP, but it’s typically not the best trim level you should buy. It’s the same with the 2020 Honda CR-V base LX trim. For the 2020 model change, it does get a significant upgrade with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine replacing the less-efficient 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. CR-V LX also now comes standard with Honda Sensing, a suite of safety technology. But is it enough to get you to buy the base trim?

Which 2020 Honda CR-V Trim Should I Buy?

Honda designs the 2020 CR-V EX trim, as with many of its vehicles, to be the volume seller, and with good reason. It comes with all the safety technology and convenience features that hold the greatest appeal for most small SUV shoppers, and it comes at a reasonable price.

How much does the 2020 CR-V cost?

The least expensive LX 2WD trim starts at $26,145 including destination, but it’s not our pick for many reasons. The LX is missing essential features that don’t show up until the EX. For $2,500 you get twenty-five extra goodies on the EX trim ($28,655), and it hits the sweet spot for buyers.

What features come on the EX that doesn’t come on the base LX? There’s a long list of extras you get for moving up to the EX trim and it’s why you should choose the EX over the base LX trim. Here are the 25 extra features you get on the EX trim and why it fits into the value spot you are looking for.

I did not see moonroof listed in the 25 differentiating features exclusive to EX models. Honda’s EX trim is my default selection solely for the moonroof.

Hi everyone; this is my own part of testimony about Nicolas as he helped me get back my Husband. My friends and family members abused me and called me "FOOL" when they found out that I contacted someone on the internet to cast love spell for me, but I paid deaf ear to their talks and keep working with Dr Paul even as we talk on phone and email too. I continued with him because he gave me every reasons and signs that my Husband will soon be home; that’s why I worked with him and he finally proved himself, My Husband rushed back home at exactly 01:30 AM on 6th of December . I am so exited now that my enemies that were laughing at me are now coming close to me ask how it happened. Thanks to the efforts that Dr Paul put in to bring back my Husband even when all hope was lost. I recommend this great doctor to you for any help, contact him via info..
