The 2023 Subaru WRX is coming for sports car fans, and Subaru of America just activated a new website for you to start your build. After choosing a trim level and options, check out the features and see how much the sport-tuned WRX will cost.

What's new for 2023?

Unfortunately, there are no new upgrades for the 2023 model year WRX. However, if you can still find a 2022 WRX sitting on a Subaru retailer's lot, it's the exact vehicle that costs $1,525 less. So you should buy it now.

What is the price of the 2023 WRX?

The 2023 WRX has four trim levels: Base, Premium, Limited, and GT. All 2023 WRX trim levels get a $1,525 price increase, including dealer fees.

The 2023 WRX 6-speed manual trim level starts at $31,625. The WRX with Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) is $33,475, the WRX Premium 6-speed manual is $34,125, the WRX Premium SPT is $36,175, the WRX Limited 6-speed manual is $38,515, WRX Limited SPT is $40,765, and WRX GT is $44,415. Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,020).

2023 Subaru WRX

The FA24 2.4-liter direct-injection turbocharged Boxer engine powers all 2023 WRX trim levels. The 2.4-liter DIT WRX turbocharged flat-four Boxer has 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. You can check out the WRX fuel mileage here.

The 2023 WRX has a 6-speed manual shifter and the Subaru Performance Transmission (automatic). The Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) is available on all trim levels (standard on the GT trims). In addition, the 2023 WRX comes with the latest generation EyeSight driver assist technology. The WRX rides on the Subaru Global Platform with increased rigidity.

WRX Base

The WRX Base trim comes with dual USB-A input/charge ports in the front center console, welcome lighting, remote keyless entry, and a combination meter with color LCD. The Base trim has 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in summer performance tires, a 6-speed manual transmission, Multi-Mode Vehicle Dynamics Control with Track Mode, Incline Start Assist, and roof rack mounting brackets.

The Premium trim adds an 11.6-inch multimedia plus touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels with summer tires, LED fog lights, a low-profile rear spoiler in matching body color, and headlight auto on/off linked with windshield wiper operation.

The Premium also comes with Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, premium seat fabric, Dual Automatic Climate Control with Voice Activation, Dual USB-A charge ports in the rear center console, and All-Weather Package with heated front seats, side mirrors, and windshield wiper de-icer.

WRX Limited

The Limited trim comes with Steering Responsive LED headlights, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, front and rear seats with Ultrasuede trim, 10-way power driver's seat with power lumbar adjustment, 11-speaker Harman Kardon Speaker System, Power Moonroof; and side mirrors with integrated turn signals.


The GT trim level has electronically controlled dampers with Comfort, Normal, and Sport settings. In addition, a Drive Select Mode allows the driver to configure up to 430 customization options for steering feel, damper settings, and SI-Drive settings. The settings are configured through the 11.6-inch touchscreen multimedia display.

The GT trim gets Recaro performance front seats trimmed with black Ultrasuede with contrasting red stitching and embossed the "Recaro" logo on the seatbacks. The performance seats come with black Ultrasuede throughout the interior. The driver's seat includes 8-way power adjustments.

Exclusive to the GT trim level are 18-in aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 R18 summer performance tires.

When will the 2023 Subaru WRX arrive in the U.S.? The 2023 WRX comes to retailers this spring. However, if you can still find the 2022 WRX, it's the exact vehicle with no upgrades and costs $1,525 less. Check out the online configurator here for the 2023 model build sheet.
