Even though they have never been a top player in Europe, the all-wheel-drive oriented brand is growing in the UK with the recent launch of the all-new 2015 Outback wagon. They will also be launching the 2015 Levorg sports tourer later this year. Now, Subaru’s EyeSight safety system is launching in the UK for the first time and will come standard on 2015 Outback wagon models when equipped with Lineartronic automatic transmissions.

Subaru is proud of the new generation safety system, where in their home market, 75 percent or more of Outbacks sold are expected to be fitted with EyeSight. Subaru will also expand the offering in future models in the next few years. Subaru says EyeSight-equipped models account for an astounding 85 percent of sales in their home country.

EyeSight has been getting recognition from a safety perspective all around the globe, with their vehicles like the Legacy sedan, Outback and Forester. These vehicles when equipped with the technology achieved the top Advanced Safety Vehicle-Plus (ASV+) under the Japan New Car Assessment Program’s preventive safety performance assessment.

The new SUV-alternative Outback has also been awarded five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, with particular praise lavished upon the vehicle’s hazard avoidance technology. Subaru’s goal of being the number one “all-around safety” brand in the world mantra is already being seen with the development of the EyeSight version 3 that is being launched in the new Levorg sports tourer in Japan.

The 2015 Subaru Levorg is the first vehicle in the lineup to receive the new advanced safety package EyeSight version 3 and will release more.
