Saleen Teases their 2018 Ford Mustang Packages

Steve Saleen and his team of high performance experts are well known for their aftermarket tuning efforts with the Ford Mustang and while we don’t have any concrete details – the company recently introduced the first image and the brief details of the 2018 Saleen Mustang.

For years, Saleen Automotive has offered some of the most powerful post-title performance packages for the Ford Mustang, and although the refreshed 2018 models haven’t arrived yet, the company has offered the first look at the 2018 Ford Mustang by Saleen. The only look that we get so far is the picture of a picture above and there were no real details announced, but Steve Saleen’s tuning company has given us an idea of what to expect when the full details become available.

“Expanding upon our tradition of delivering truly unique performance models that offer something special for discerning performance enthusiasts, the 2018 Saleen 302 is our best looking and performing car yet,” said Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive. “Our signature line of Saleen 302s sets the bar for vehicles that are not only great looking and deliver premium performance but also maintain an affordable price level so that any enthusiast vehicle buyer can find a car that fits their need. Our White, Yellow and Black label cars feature power and handling along with unique interior styling.”

The 2018 Saleen Mustang 302
So far, here is what we know for sure about the 2018 Saleen Mustang. It will look like the image above, with a uniquely sculpted hood, a new front fascia with larger lower vents and the Saleen grille. We know that the 2018 Saleen Mustang will come in similar trims to the 2017 Saleen Mustang, meaning that there will be White, Yellow and Black Label packages, each offering their own spread of exterior bits, interior trim, suspension packages, braking packages and horsepower improvements. For example, the 2017 Saleen Mustang comes in with 450 horsepower (White Label), 715 horsepower (Yellow Label) or 730 horsepower (Black Label) while the White and Yellow packages come with a mild aerodynamics package while the Black Label comes with a complete body package.

Based on the brief information in the announcement of the new Saleen Mustang, the company stated that all of the 2018 Black Label packages will include similar components, but we can expect even more power, since the 2018 Ford Mustang GT comes from the factory with 25 more horsepower and 20lbft more torque, meaning that the Saleen 2018 Mustangs will see at least that much more power when compared to 2017.

Although the 2018 Ford Mustang is not readily available right now, but Saleen is taking orders for their 2018 Mustang package, so if you are interested in having the unique Saleen look and maybe some extra power added to your new Mustang GT – contact Saleen Automotive for more information.
