This one is for you, Toyota RAV4 fans.

Well, we can tell you a little more news – about release date.

As with most everything in the automotive industry these days, timelines are extremely fluid – ever changing. Including the 2023 RAV4 release date. I guess we should refer to this as an estimated time frame.

Expect the first 2023 Toyota RAV4, 2023 RAV4 Hybrid, and 2023 RAV4 Prime vehicles to begin shipping to dealerships across the country sometime around November. Just a few short months away.

This should be welcome news for many Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid fans, especially if you have your name on a waiting list for your perfect vehicle.

For others, it might make you wonder if you will be getting a 2022 RAV4 or a 2023 RAV4. This is that time of year where things teeter right on the edge of the current model year or the new model year for many models.

There are certainly many practical and important changes coming to 2023 Toyota RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Prime.

My favorite update is the addition of Toyota Audio Multimedia. This new system brings with it wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, faster voice command processing and response times, more useful information at your disposal, larger touch screen sizes (up to 10.5 inches with RAV4 2023), and a more conversational approach to your voice commands and questions.

Look for large and more modern multi-information displays up to 12.5 inches as well.

Also, look for Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. I think a useful safety update is intersection support. It will help, as an example, when you are at a traffic light getting ready to turn on to another street. Your vehicle will alert you of vehicles and people (walking in the crosswalk) in your path and the system is designed to stop you if you approach those dangers and get too close.

2023 Rav4's have interesting updates over the 2022's. It is disappointing that the dealerships continue to add a surcharge to the price. Don't purchase a 2023 Rav4 and the surcharge will seize to exist. The 2023 market looks promising on better non surcharged offerings.

Jeff,
I work in the stamping department of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. We currently produce the Highlander and Sienna. We are preparing to launch a new Lexus product and grand highlander. Several of us in the office absolutely love your review videos. I currently lease a 2021 Rav4 XSE Hybrid and am anxiously waiting for the release of the woodland edition. It's on the e-vehicle website but very little details are given at this point. One disappointing thing I noticed is it appears the multimedia screen on the woodland is available as only an 8.5 inch model. Do you know if that's accurate? I really want that woodland but I don't want to sacrifice the screen size.

I am a die-hard Toyota fan, but by no means a car expert. They are dependable and comfortable cars with great lux trimmings on offer. We have a 2016 Highlander and a 2021 RAV4 Prime. We are selling the Highlander, and would love to replace it with a similarly-sized plug-in hybrid SUV. (We have kids and a dog - it comes in handy!) I'm really disappointed that a plug-in hybrid Highlander doesn't seem to be coming this year. For the first time, I'm considering buying a non-Toyota.

I put a deposit down for a 2022 RAV4 PHEV, originally told 3-4 months wait. Dealer called back less than a week later and explained the new timeline would be 12-18 months!

Any idea what production numbers will look like for the 2023? They are already so far behind with what I’ve read are abysmal production numbers, while Toyota cites raw material and continued chip shortages.

Jeff- we are considering a RAV4 but wondering if the 2023 possibly improves on the sound insulation. The noise level on ‘22’s (and earlier) is a likely deal breaker even though we like everything else about it.

When can I expect to receive the RAV4 Limited in Red. I signed up for it on 9/5/22. It seems I should be receivng it before long as it was my Christmas Present to myself!!
