Lime! Would You Buy a Lime 2022 Toyota Tacoma? It is Coming Soon

Toyota Teased its 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro in lime color. What do you think?

Toyota gave us our first look earlier this week at two new grades of 2022 Tacoma. Both are promised to be “adventure-ready.”

Of course, in typical Toyota fashion lately, we got our glimpse in the form of a teaser photo. Nothing more. Yet.

Recent Tundra teaser video and Prius teaser photo made those fans want more too.

We want more details. We need more details.

2022 Toyota Tacoma News

2022 Toyota Tacoma teaser photo

In the teaser picture we see two different Tacoma Tacoma trim levels. One seems to be a TRD Pro. We see 16-inch black with red TRD alloy wheels. We can spot what looks to be FOX Shocks. The wheel design is new to Tacoma, though.

But wait. There is more. Much more.

We also see a new paint color pretty much unheard of in Toyota Tacoma circles. A bright lime-yellow shade.

Now THIS is news.

Special kudos to Instagram content creator @4Runnersnacks for mocking up this Toyota Tacoma in lime color. Please follow his page if you like Toyota, 4Runner, and creativity.

How does it look to you?

Yes, this is for a 2022 Toyota Tacoma. But can you also imagine lime exterior paint decorating our favorite Toyota Tundra, Toyota 4Runner and Toyota Sequoia?

Again, @4Runnersnacks mocked up a lime-yellow Toyota 4Runner that is sure to turn heads.

Time for your Toyota Tacoma comments

For me, once the initial shock factor faded away, I really like this lime 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro.

I have been lobbying (well more whispering and thinking to myself) for Toyota to come out with a yellow-gold or black cherry TRD Pro.

Lime green was rumored months ago. It seems we might be getting one step closer to seeing our favorite Toyota trucks and SUVs with this illuminating shade.

Toyota has not made any official announcement on 2022 Tacoma yet. More details are expected within the next couple weeks. Perhaps sooner than later.

I encourage you to bookmark my Torque News / Toyota News page</a> and follow my “Toyotajeff” YouTube channel to keep up with updates as they trickle in from Toyota.

Would you be interested in a lime colored 2022 Toyota Tacoma? How about Tundra, 4Runner or Sequoia?

Please remember, this is not confirmed yet. Until then, I would love to see your thoughts on comments on this developing story.

Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story when I discuss the possibility we will see a 2022 Tacoma Heritage Edition.

Remember when Ford did the special 7-up mustang convertible. It was a flop for them. The only lime green vehicle that I would buy is a Dodge Hellcat Challenger. The yellow-gold color would have been better or just the old FJ Yellow color on the 4runner and the Tundra. But lime green on the taco and the tree.

let’s face it- lime green sucks! these ‘off colors’ don’t rock or get it! I don’t know WHAT Toyota is thinking. it never worked in the past- dates the vehicle & most people get tired of it in short bit of time.

I completely agree with you. These guys need to put down the Crack pipe. Lime Green, Lunar, Concrete. Then I was just talking to one of the salesman at Toyota and there thinking starting in 2022 all Tacoma's will be hybrid. If that happens I'll just keep my 2012 Tacoma till the wheels fall off.

I wouldn’t bother.Toyota has come out with these very different colors each year- to change trims or things up. in my opinion- it just dates them for that particular year. I’ve always felt to stick to the basic colors all along- bc people will get tired or bored after awhile with these crazy colors. they’re really not changing this truck up ‘much’ for 2021-2022. very good truck- but not much major change just my opinion. .

Not crazy about the lime green, however when they came out with the TRD off-road in cement and quicksand I didn’t care for them either, then quickly changed my mine and liked them allot. I just bought one in cement. Maybe a Sasquatch decal on the lime green will help it out. ☺️

I would have liked to see Moon Dust from the highlander. I don't care much for the green/yellow colors. Fire truck red would have been nice too. If you are going to do a yellow make it the FJ yellow and not something in between two colors.

No to the Lime Green. Would love to see them bring back the green from 2012. Think it was called pyrite mica green? Only thing keeping from buying a new Taco!

Lunar rock looked like industrial machine green. That yellow lime color is absolutely hideous! A metallic silver would look so good on the TRD Pro! Get some colors that might actually sell!

We have the latest Toyota Prius in exactly that color and what a statement it makes wherever we go. It outshines everything on the road and everyone loves it. Jealousy is a terrible thing I’ve found because everyone wants one and they can’t buy them. It is also something called a thermoregulatory paint. Which is also very noticeable. So I would not be surprised if the same thing happens with the Toyota 4WD vehicles. It’s certainly not boring!

I love the Lime color and every color that they have came out with. Toyota is putting more spunk into there trucks to change it up. I believe they should come out with a yellow color. I would definitely buy a yellow Tacoma
