Dodge’s unique multi-energy 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK is winning kudos for its performance and versatility. Topgear.com has named the innovative muscle car its US Car of the Year. Top Gear singled out the gas-powered version of the Charger for its award calling the vehicle “A Revelation”. The reinvented Dodge Charger is unique in the industry because the platform allows the vehicle to be either a pure electric vehicle or gas-powered. Top Gear praises the ICE version.

“The new SIXPACK Charger is a revelation — flexible enough to be whatever it’s called on to be, from a stout and steady daily driver to a tail-happy drift toy, and everything in between,” said Jack Rix, editor-in-chief, Top Gear.”

The 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK Scat Pack

The 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK carries the high-output version of the Inline Six gasoline engine. It delivers 550 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft. of torque. Dodge’s first all-electric version of the Charger Daytona did not sell well, as many buyers waited for the gasoline-powered vehicle. Dodge had trouble convincing potential buyers that an electric vehicle could be a muscle car, even though the EV had great horsepower.

“This prestigious honor from Top Gear reinforces that the next-generation Dodge Charger with its 550 horsepower, gasoline-burning twin turbo SIXPACK is redefining muscle car performance. All-wheel drive when you need it and rear-wheel drive when you want it, coupled with its ‘hidden hatch’ design, the SIXPACK-powered Charger is the next innovative step forward in Charger’s evolving, 60-year lineage,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “The new Dodge Charger continues to garner awards and recognition even as we continue to roll out the full lineup. We’re just getting started.”

As I recently reported, the redesigned Dodge Charger is also a finalist for North American Car of the Year.

“Being named a finalist for North American Car of the Year is a testament to Dodge’s relentless pursuit of performance and innovation,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “The Dodge Charger multi-energy lineup delivers the power of choice to our customers, a 550-horsepower SIXPACK and a 670-horsepower Daytona, with both two doors and four doors.”

“Once again, these finalists show the wide range of choices that consumers have in the marketplace,” said NACTOY President Jeff Gilbert, auto reporter for WWJ Radio. “Our jury of distinguished auto reporters has come up with a great selection of fantastic vehicles that truly reflect the best of the best.”

Dodge Charger Also Winning Design Awards

The Dodge Charger Daytona was singled out by Wards.com for Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX for its unusual EV design that includes a hatchback for additional cargo room. “The interior of the Charger Daytona combines everything contemporary that you'd expect in an EV with a respect for the heritage of an iconic muscle car,” said Gary Vasilash, Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX judge. “Not an easy feat to accomplish, but they pulled it off in a manner that will make EV enthusiasts and the Brotherhood of Muscle both delighted with the execution.”

MotorWeek also gave the Dodge Charger an award for Best Sports Coupe.

SIXPACK-powered Dodge Charger Scat Pack is available at a starting U.S. MSRP of $54,995, delivering the most horsepower under $55,000.

The award-winning SIXPACK-powered Dodge Charger is shipping to dealers now. For more information on the Dodge brand multi-energy lineup, visit www.Dodge.com.
