Jeep Gives the 2022 Wrangler Willys an Xtreme Recon Package

Off-roaders looking to enjoy the trails on giant 35" tires have a new Wrangler package to choose from. The new trim can be ordered straight from the factory.

Jeep is out with a new way to master off-roading while sporting a vintage look. Meet the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys Xtreme Recon that looks like it is something out of the 40’s and 50’s but it is equipped with the latest in extreme off-road gear.

Third Wrangler Trim Offering Xtreme Recon Gear

Now, Jeep will have three different models available with the Xtreme Recon package straight from the factory. Wrangler Willys joins the Wrangler Rubicon and Wrangler Rubicon 392 as models that can be ordered outfitted with 35-inch tires and the Xtreme Recon Package.

“The new Jeep Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon Package gives our passionate customers another great option for straight-from-the-factory 35-inch tires,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America. “Named after the original Jeep utility vehicle, the Willys holds special meaning to the Jeep brand, and we’re excited to enhance the new Wrangler Willys with 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires.”

2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys trim comes in an updated version of the olive drab color, with a standard black grille and matte black “Jeep” and “Trail Rated” badging. It also has a Willys decal designed to stand out on the hood. Jeep has been very successful adding special packages straight from the factory. It allows the buyer to build the cost of the upgrades into the overall cost of the vehicle, rather than having to pay up front to add the special touches like lift kits and over-sized tires later.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys with Xtreme Recon Package Adds:

  • 35” BF Goodrich all-terrain tires
  • 17-inch by 8-inch beadlock capable wheels
  • Swing gate reinforcement
  • 4.56:1 axle ratio
  • 1.5-inch factory suspension lift with uniquely tuned shocks
  • Anti-lock four-wheel-disc performance brakes
  • 3.6L eTorque engine

The $3,995 Xtreme Recon Package gives the Jeep Wrangler Willys the best-in-class approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance and water fording ability.

  • Approach angle – 47.4 degrees
  • Breakover angle – 26.7 degrees
  • Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
  • Ground clearance – 12.9 inches
