Top 5 Things To Take Away From Teslas Model S Plaid Event

Tesla recently had its Model S Plaid event last night. The car is one of the safest, fastest, most entertaining, most robust, and most "alien" of any production car ever made. The Tesla Model S Plaid - "It's Alien Technology" - Elon Musk.

1: The Tesla Model S Plaid is the second safest car ever made

Behind the Tesla Model 3 RWD, the Tesla Model S Plaid is the second safest car ever made according to internal data (though it still needs testing by the NHSTA). I have no doubt that the car will hold up still when the official testing begins.

2: The Tesla Model S Plaid is the fastest production car ever made

The Tesla Model S Plaid can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just under 2 seconds. It can do a quarter mile in 9.23 seconds. For a "regular" family car, that is incredible. During the event, Elon mentioned that they pushed the laws of physics just about as far as they could in order to achieve this feat, including enhancements to the engine and drive unit.

3: The Tesla Model S Plaid is the most entertaining production car ever made

There is a flat 17 inch screen in the front of the car and another screen in the back of the car. In addition to this, there is 22 speakers with complete surround sound, custom made by the Tesla team. This will create an immersive gaming, movie watching, or music listening experience.

4: The Tesla Model S Plaid is the most robust production car ever made

There is specific heating done within the car to reduce degredation in cold weather. Also, the car can do multiple 0 to 60 miles per hour accelerations and still not be "winded" according to CEO Elon Musk. The car can also maintain its horsepower even up to 200 miles per hour. It will charge 187 miles in 15 minutes and has 390 miles of range. Very impressive.

5: The Tesla Model S Plaid is the most alien of any car ever made.

Elon Musk stated that the Tesla Model S Plaid was alien technology. What makes the Tesla Model S Plaid unique, is the fact that it will learn about you as you use it. It will learn your driving habits and adapt. There will be continual updates to the sound system. The car will constantly update the auto pilot and full self driving software. Software should just do things for you, like unlocking it for you as you approach and going into drive mode as you go in it and sit down. It's a computer on wheels.

Final thoughts

The Tesla Model S Plaid event was straight to the point, going over everything that makes the car unique and special. There was nothing talked about outside the features and deliveries of the Tesla Model S Plaid and I think we can expect that for future events - no need to speculate on numerous things.
