In years past, the general public was not given the same access that the media has had at auto shows. This year, that has changed; at least with GM, where the company has made web casts available for on-demand replay.

Truth is, as fast as a Google searches may be, the public may still have a hard time finding these web casts. Enter sites authorized with a direct link to all who visit a page, where you can finish the search on your own. So, it’s worth saving this page for sure:

According to the GM news release, editors have been invited to embed or link to GM's two live video streams scheduled during press days at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit January 10, 2011; and are thus serving the public as well as GM.

Be apprised that Buick has scheduled its press conference for 9:15 (EST) on Monday for the Verano Reveal. Later that day at 6:15 p.m. (EST) Chevrolet will have their conference where they will introduce the 2012 Sonic.

Thanks to GM and the various sites who display the link, communication and the willingness to communicate has changed; and this site has opted to participate.

The GM press conference videos will each be available for on-demand replay from their original URLs within two hours after each live stream ends. Replays remain available for at least eleven months.

For the record, TorqueNews will also have three reporters on the floor at Cobo Hall. Photos, interviews and tweets direct from the events will be available throughout the press days and the days that follow.
