Subaru Crosstrek Tops Toyota RAV4, Forester For “Best Resale Value” Award

The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek beats the all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 and all-new 2019 Subaru Forester SUV to win KBB’s “Best Resale Value” Award in the Compact SUV/Crossover segment. What does it mean for Subaru customers?

Consumers doing their research when looking for a new small SUV/crossover, are looking for all-weather capability, a good urban commuter, fuel-efficient, has enhanced active safety, and is recreation-purposed. What they might forget about is getting top resale value when it’s time to sell or trade it in. Customers can find all of this in the second-generation 2019 Subaru Crosstrek.

Crosstrek scores Best Resale Value Award

Kelly Blue Book (KBB) announced their winners in the 2019 “Best Resale Value” Awards and Subaru Crosstrek wins the Best vehicle in the Compact SUV/Crossover segment. What does it mean for Subaru customers?

KBB says the 2019 Crosstrek small SUV has the best resale value of any car in the segment. At 36 months, Crosstrek retains 63.7 percent of its value and at 60 months: 49.3 percent. Crosstrek beats the all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 and the newly-redesigned 2019 Subaru Forester to take home the honors.

The 2nd place finisher was the all-new for 2019 Toyota RAV4 with a resale value at 36 months: 57.7 percent, and at 60 months: 43.6 percent. KBB says, “The Toyota RAV4 touts new lo, ks, new features, and more off-road capability. Remaining steadfast, however, is the RAV4's great resale value.”

Crosstrek beat its stablemate the newly-redesigned 2019 Subaru Forester, the 3rd Place finisher with a resale value at 36 months: 59.4 percent, and at 60 months: 42.4 percent. KBB says, “With a strong roster of standard features including all-wheel drive and adaptive cruise control, the 2019 Subaru Forester is packed with near- and long-term value.”

Subaru scores two more awards

Subaru also scored two more Best Residual Value segment awards. The 2019 Subaru Legacy earned its fourth win in one of the industry’s most competitive segments, the Mid-Size Car segment beating the 2019 Honda Accord and 2019 Toyota Camry. The 2019 Subaru Outback earned its fourth win in the Mid-Size SUV/Crossover (2-Row) segment for KBB’s Best Resale Value Awards as well. Outback beat the 2019 Dodge Durango and 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Consumers doing their research when looking for a new small SUV/Crossover, get all-wheel-drive, a vehicle that’s comfortable for the city commute, fuel-efficient, gets enhanced active safety, and is recreation-purposed with a go-anywhere attitude in the Crosstrek. When it comes time to sell, KBB says the newly-redesigned 2019 Subaru Crosstrek also offers the best resale value of any new Compact SUV/Crossover in America.
