Limited Edition 2016 Subaru WRX STI and BRZ pricing announced

The limited edition 2016 Subaru Series.HyperBlue WRX STI will be priced at $39,790 including destination and will be limited to just 700 examples in the U.S. There is no 2016 Series.HyperBlue limited edition WRX models available in the U.S., only Australia gets the WRX. The exclusive performance sedans come with Hyper Blue paint on the outside and special interior trim upgrades over the standard STIs ($35,490).

2016 WRX STI Series.HyperBlue

Outside, the limited edition WRX STI gets 18-inch BBS Black Alloy wheels, black exterior badging and black exterior mirrors. Inside, the 2016 Series.HyperBlue WRX STI features Hyper Blue stitching on the Alcantara seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, manual transmission shifter boot, and console as well as carpeted floor mats with a Cherry Red STI logo.

It gets the upgraded STARLINK 7.0” Multimedia Navigation System with 9 Harman/Kardon speakers and 440-watt amplifier. It also comes with Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, PIN Code Access and Welcome Lighting to round out the interior upgrades.

2016 BRZ Series.HyperBlue

The 2016 Subaru BRZ limited edition Series.HyperBlue is priced at $28,485 including destination. Production will be limited to 500 examples for the U.S.market. The limited edition models are powered by a 200hp 2.0-liter Boxer engine and come with a six-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission will not be available on the limited edition BRZ.

The exterior gets the Hyper Blue paint along with 17-inch black alloy wheels, black finish exterior badging and mirrors. Inside, the cabin gets Hyper Blue stitching accents on the seats, the shift lever boot and leather-wrapped parking brake handle. The center console kneepads and door trim also get the blue stitching and the front seat backs feature an embroidered silver BRZ logo. Carpeted floor mats with a silver BRZ logo, Hyper Blue stitching and a new frameless day/night rear-view mirror round out the upgrades.

The new limited edition 2016 BRZ gets the STARLINK 6.2” Multimedia System, AM/FM stereo with HD Radio, satellite radio, Radio Data Broadcast System, single-disc CD player, Bluetooth, iPod control, iTunes Tagging, a USB port and an auxiliary input jack. Smartphone integration features Aha and Pandora, along with STARLINK cloud applications: iHeartRadio, Stitcher, Calendar, Music Player, News and Weather. All 2016 Subaru BRZs now come standard with a rear vision camera.
