How could the Crosstrek be better?

CR says the biggest knock against the Crosstrek is the EyeSight driver assistance safety technology isn’t standard on all trim levels. EyeSight isn’t available with the 6-speed manual transmission, only on Continuous Variable automatic Transmission (CVT) models.

Why should you avoid the 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport?

CR says the total mileage is less than its peers (26 mpg overall), the rear seat is small and uncomfortable, “cargo space is skimpy, and the driving experience is far from sporty.” CR goes on to says the Rogue Sport trim has below-average predicted reliability.

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek has an overall score of 84, while the Nissan Rogue Sport has a score of just 59 and also scores low in owner satisfaction.

The Crosstrek comes standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system as standard on all trim levels. Crosstrek has 8.7-inches of ground clearance (exceeding the competition) and features X-Mode for all-weather traction and improved off-pavement performance.

For the 2021 model year, Subaru now offers the Crosstrek Sport and Limited trim levels with a new 2.5-liter engine upgrade with 30 additional horsepower over the standard 2.0-liter Boxer engine.

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek with the larger 2.5-liter Boxer engine gets an EPA estimated fuel mileage of 27/34 city/highway mpg and 29 combined mpg. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine gets an EPA estimated 28/33 mpg and 30 combined mpg.

What is the price of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek?

The 2021 Crosstrek subcompact SUV comes in five trim levels for customers. The base trim is priced from $23,295, Premium ($24,345), all-new Sport ($27,545), Limited ($29,045). Prices include destination and delivery ($1,050).
