Honda is highly recognized and the most awarded automotive brand earning six Best Buy awards this week from Consumer Guide. The 2020 Honda HR-V is the best buy pick in the Subcompact Crossover segment, 2020 Honda Pilot is best in the Midsize Crossover, 2020 Honda Civic, and Honda Insight score in the Compact Car, Honda Accord checks the box in the Midsize Car, and 2020 Honda Ridgeline is the best in Compact Pickup.
Why is Honda the most awarded brand?
CG says the six Honda cars, SUVs and truck “represent the finest balance of attributes and value in their class.” Honda is Consumer Guide’s most awarded automotive brand for the 2020 evaluations. The automotive magazine utilizes specific criteria, such as price, features, performance, accommodations, fuel economy, reliability records, and resale value to assess the vehicles.
2020 Civic is a top-seller for Honda
It’s not just what looks best in the vehicle’s specifications, but it's about “each vehicle as it relates to consumers’ real-world driving experience” says CG. They evaluate them in the same conditions you would use the vehicle throughout the week.
Each segment has a number of winners. It’s Honda HR-V, Hyundai Kona, Kia Soul, and Nissan Rogue Sport in the Subcompact Crossover segment. Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, and Kia Telluride are best in the Midsize Crossover, Honda Civic, Honda Insight, Nissan Versa, and Toyota Corolla all score in the Compact Car, Honda Accord, Subaru Outback, and Toyota Camry in the Midsize Car, and Honda Ridgeline, Chevy Colorado, and GMC Canyon are the best in Compact Pickup.
One model is notably missing from the CG Best Buy 2020 list. The 2020 Honda CR-V is the best-selling model in the lineup for a reason but it’s missing in CG’s top models. It’s the Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-5, and Nissan Rogue picking up honors in the Compact Crossover segment where the CR-V resides. We would pick it as Honda’s Best Buy for you.
