The Best And Worst Cities To Buy A Used Subaru Crosstrek, It Could Cost You $3,600 More

Are you shopping for a used Subaru Crosstrek? There is one city where you will pay the most and one where you’ll pay the least for a lightly used Crosstrek. Check the report before you buy.

Where is the best and worst city to buy a lightly used 1-5-year-old Subaru Crosstrek? A recent report from iSeeCars says that used car prices remain high, and buyers should look for every opportunity to save money on their next vehicle. “The pricing disparity between major U.S. metro areas represents an excellent opportunity to enhance used car purchasing power in today’s market,” says iSeeCars.

If you are willing to look beyond your local market, you could save substantial money on a Subaru Crosstrek. iSeeCars analyzed over 6.5 million used cars across the U.S. to compare the average prices in the 50 largest metro areas and discovered a broad pricing spectrum between the most and least expensive markets.

In Cleveland-Akron, Ohio versus West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce, Florida, the price difference for the average 1- to 5-year-old used car was more than $6,100.

iSeeCars research found the best and worst cities to buy a 1- to 5-year-old used Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV.

The best city to buy a lightly-used Crosstrek is Salt Lake City, Utah, where the average price is $24,689. The two worst cities to buy a used Crosstrek are Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, where the average price is $28,291, which is 12.7 percent higher, and you’ll pay $3,601 more for the same 1- to 5-year-old used Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV.

“Research and flexibility are two powerful assets for used car shoppers,” said iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer. “Buyers in Cleveland and Cincinnati, the top two cities with the least expensive cars, already live in the lowest-cost cities and can shop locally. But used car buyers in the most expensive cities like West Palm Beach and Denver might want to research bus and plane schedules as part of their shopping process.”

iSee Cars says looking at the nation’s 25 best-selling cars illustrates how much money can be saved – or “lost” – based on where a vehicle is bought. “Even with a $300 plane ticket, plus two days spent driving 1,400 miles, a Crosstrek shopper in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, New Mexico gets ‘paid’ $3,601 by traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah to buy that vehicle compared to someone who buys it locally.”
