America’s Most Popular New Cars - Subaru Forester And Outback Score Top-10

The 2021 Subaru Forester and 2021 Subaru Outback are among America’s most popular and fastest-selling new cars. Check out the top-10 most popular models.

Subaru of America has two of the top-10 most popular new vehicles in the US. The 2021 Subaru Forester, the Camden, N.J. automaker’s number one selling vehicle, scores number four on America’s Most Popular New Cars list compiled by a new iSeeCars study. The 2021 Subaru Outback, the automaker’s number two top-selling vehicle, is number seven on the list.

The average new car takes 46.2 days to sell (January 2021 sales), and the 2021 Forester takes just 23.6 days for retailers to move the compact SUV off their lots. The 2021 Outback takes 32.5 days to sell.

The top-10 most popular cars in America

According to the iSeeCars study, America’s most popular (by sales volume) and fastest moving new vehicles are the Toyota Tacoma (19.1 days), Toyota 4Runner (21.7), Toyota RAV4 (21.9), Subaru Forester (23.6), Jeep Wrangler (30.1), GMC Sierra 1500 (31.7), Subaru Outback, (32.5), Ram Pickup 1500 (34.4), Toyota Highlander (36.5), and the Jeep Grand Cherokee (41.9).

Why are the Forester and Outback in demand?

Both the 2021 Subaru Forester compact SUV and 2021 Outback wagon/crossover sell quickly because they offer shoppers high value. They both provide excellent fuel mileage, standard all-wheel-drive, highest safety crash scores, utility and cargo-carrying ability, and both are affordable.

What is the price of the 2021 Subaru Forester?

The 2021 Forester comes in five trim levels, and the base trim has an MSRP of $25,845, Premium ($28,845), Sport ($30,445), Limited ($32,445), and Touring ($35,945). Pricing includes $1,050 destination. iSeeCars says the average transaction price for the 2021 Forester is $31,673.

What is the price of the 2021 Subaru Outback?

The 2021 Outback comes in seven trim levels, base $27,845, Premium ($30,095), Limited ($34,645), Onyx Edition XT ($36,195), Limited XT ($38,545), Touring ($39,045), and Touring XT ($40,995). Pricing includes $1,050 destination. iSeeCars says the average transaction price for the 2021 Outback is $35,662.

The 2021 Subaru Forester and 2021 Subaru Outback are not just selling well in cold-weather regions of the country. The Subaru Forester is now the fastest-selling new vehicle in Los Angeles, California. Subaru of America is gaining ground in the South and warm weather states.
