Nissan GT-R and Ferrari 458 Italia face-off

How's this for a day at the office? A day on the track with a 458 prancing pony and a Godzilla, both completely stock. See what a natural V8 and a turbo'd V6 are like side-by-side.

Just another day at the office. The guys at Xtreme Xperience, a company that puts boys in fun toys for a few hours or an entire weekend, teamed with 1320video for a race track experience. The result? A bone stock Nissan GT-R runs against a Ferrari 458 Italia.

The race itself is pretty casual, with the guys being more about having fun with it than about seeing who can win. As you can see from the video, though, the naturally-aspirated V8 in the prancing pony has a beautiful sound and more top-end power while the turbocharged V6 in the Godzilla hits the corners well and powers from the line better.

Other differences include the drivetrain, which is rear-wheel in the Ferrari's mid-mounted configuration and all-wheel in the front-engined Nissan.

The main run is a 60-130 mph race on the track, shown from the view of a cameraman in the passenger's seat of the Ferrari and a mounted camera on the upper-right windshield of the GT-R. After that, they do a launch from 30 mph as well.
