Hellcat of the Month December 2016: Rhiannon Layendecker's Supercharged Challenger

Each month, TorqueNews works with the members of the Hellcat Group Facebook page to choose the Hellcat of the Month. The members are asked to nominate 5 Hellcat cars owned by active members of the online community and once those 5 nominees are decided – the members vote on their favorite Hellcat-powered Dodge from the group.

In the December Hellcat of the Month nominations, we had 5 Hellcat Challengers selected to move onto the voting round and when the final vote was cast - Rhiannon Layendecker’s Hellcat Challenger one by a comfortable margin. Rhiannon’s Challenger claimed about 38% of the total votes, while the second place car had around 23%.

After the members of the Hellcat Group picked Rhiannon Layendecker’s Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat as their December Hellcat of the Month, I reached out to her for some information on her 707 horsepower Mopar muscle car.

This is what Rhiannon had to say about her Hellcat Challenger:
I've been a MOPAR fan for many years. I own a blown 440 powered '72 Charger that I built myself. I have wanted a Hellcat ever since they first came out, and after being patient during the first year of sales, we bought our supercharger SRT Challenger this year.

I wanted it with as few extras as possible and we went with the 8-speed automatic transmission due to health issues. Although I really like a lot of the different colors, I decided that black was the way to go.

Going forward, we plan on getting the hood and front end of the Hellcat Challenger wrapped along with tinting the windows, but otherwise we plan to leave it stock. Thanks to everyone for voting for me!
