Jeep Spices Up the 2021 Cherokee Adding a Little Luxury

Jeep is offering 2021 Jeep Cherokee buyers a chance to get a little more luxury at a more affordable price.

Jeep is known for building vehicles that can go virtually anywhere, but it also understands that a lot of its owners love creature comforts. That is why Jeep is adding some of its premium amenities to its popular 2021 Jeep Cherokee without the premium price. Jeep is adding a new 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude LUX trim level to give buyers more bang for their bucks.

“The new 2021 Cherokee Latitude LUX truly enhances the Jeep lineup and is a direct reflection of what our customers want and value the most in their vehicle – everyday practicality, exceptional comfort, with outstanding ride and handling characteristics,” said Jim Morrison, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA North America. “As the most capable midsize sport-utility vehicle, the Jeep Cherokee continues to offer consumers the ultimate blend of all-weather 4x4 capability and even more standard amenities at an incredible value.”

Priced to Add Luxury and Value

With a price of $31,645 for 4x4 models (plus $1,495 destination), the 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux falls right in the middle of the Cherokee trim levels, but LUX adds loads of luxury.

The Jeep Cherokee Latitude LUX includes Nappa leather seats, power front seats with power lumbar adjuster, heated front seats, premium-wrapped and heated steering wheel, remote start and a windshield wiper deicer. The Latitude LUX has the Uconnect 4 system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Buyers can also add a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, premium nine-speaker Alpine sound system and 8.4-inch touchscreen radio.

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux also has a full suite of safety features including: Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Blind-spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Rear backup camera and park assist. The Lux also has rain-sensing wipers, which are a great perk if you have ever driven a vehicle with them.

The 2021 Cherokee Latitude LUX comes with the 3.2-liter Pentastar V-6 engine standard. Its fuel economy is listed as 29 mpg highway. Jeep says it also has best-in-class towing of 4,500 pounds. A 2.0-liter I-4 turbocharged engine is also available.

More Latitude LUX Available Upgrades

For buyers who are still seeking more upgrades, I've already mentioned the sunroof and larger touchscreen radio. Jeep also has the option of adding a Comfort and Convenience Package that adds a security alarm, power liftgate, dual zone automatic temperature air conditioning controls and 115-volt power outlet.

There is also a Trailer Tow Package which adds heavy-duty engine cooling, Class III hitch receiver and full-size spare.

The 2021 Jeep Cherokee Latitude LUX models are available now. Some are already arriving on dealer lots or you can order one that meets all your specifications.

The problem with the Renegade/Compass and Cherokee, all three are saddled with a low performing, sloppy German ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. I don't Jeep had a choice with this package considering sales have tanked for all three aforementioned models.
I will say it again, Thank GOD for the upcoming merger with PSA! Their CEO, Carlos Tavares is a Visionary who takes pride in his Company, which is far more than I can say about the Illiterates who manage FCA! Hopefully, these half-wits will be shown the front door within the week of the Merger!
