2025 Jeep Wagoneer Adds the Ultimate Level of Comfort to Overlanding

Jeep has a new special Overland edition to make overlanding more fun and functional.

Off-roading has changed a lot over the last few years, with more and more vehicles being designed to handle the rugged terrain. Now, Jeep has created a special edition built for comfort in the most challenging conditions. The 2025 Wagoneer Overland Special Edition combines 32-inch all terrain tires, an air suspension, steel skid plates and plenty of room for seven people to take on the great outdoors. Wagoneer is so convinced that the trail versions will be in demand that the 4x4s will feature Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with adventure guides. Jeep debuted the 2025 Wagoneer Overland 4x4 at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.

“The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition embodies an authentic, go-anywhere Jeep brand 4x4 experience," said Bob Broderdorf, CEO, Jeep brand. "From active families to passionate overlanders, we've cleverly packaged capability features and content to deliver a full-size SUV that inspires adventure and confidence on every journey, as only a Jeep vehicle can."

2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition Features:

  • 32-inch all-terrain tires
  • 20-inch aluminum wheels
  • Three skid plates to protect the front axle, transfer case and fuel tank
  • Quadra-Drive II 4x4 system with an electronic limited slip differential
  • Two-speed transfer case offers a 48:1 crawl ratio

Jeep Wagoneer Wins Awards for Great Handling and Comfort

I have written a number of stories about the Wagoneer since it was brought back to life by Jeep. The Wagoneer ranked first in a J.D Power study about how owners like their new vehicles.

“The J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study finds that Jeep Wagoneers rank first with their owners. The J.D. Power U.S. APEAL Study asks buyers for their reactions about their new vehicles, asking about styling, amenities and fuel efficiency.

In March, U.S. News and World Report named the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L as the “Best Large SUV for Families”. The Wagoneer L has best-in-class overall passenger volume and the judges from U.S. News were impressed that the large SUV’s third row was even comfortable for adults.

2025 Wagoneer Overland Focuses on Off-Roading

New in 2025, all Wagoneer 4x4 models will be equipped  with Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with Adventure Guides. A built-in app delivers 200-plus off-road trail guides, including Jeep Badge of Honor trails in the U.S. Drivers will be able to download maps and see the trails’ difficulty ratings.  Buyers can opt for an available All Access membership, which will give owners the ability to see thousands of trails with more than 10,000 waypoints across North America.
