The Top-10 Car Models With The Most Speeding Tickets - Subaru Now Leads With 3

It's not a surprise the Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX STI performance sedans keep the title for car models with the most speeding tickets for 2021. But Subaru has two other models that make the top-10 list. Can you guess which ones?

Insurify updated its annual top-10 car models with the most speeding tickets list, and the 2021 Subaru WRX and 2021 Subaru WRX STI come in at number one for the third year in a row. It's no surprise since the WRX and STI attract a performance buyer in the 25-35-year-old age range.

Subaru even says in its preview for the all-new 2022 WRX and says it's "Loaded with raw power, has upgraded handling, and even more adrenaline-fueled thrills."

The latest Insurify study says the Subaru WRX and STI still have the most speeding violations of any vehicle in the nation. Subaru WRX and STI drivers get 49 percent more speeding tickets than the average American driver, making their violation rate the highest in the country.

Subaru is also the car brand with the most models on the new list. The Subaru BRZ sports coupe is number five, and the Subaru Impreza is number nine for 2021.

Insurify says the national average is 9.59 percent of drivers who have a speeding violation on record. Among the ten models with the highest speeding rates, the average share of drivers with a speeding ticket on record is 16.14 percent, 40 percent greater than the national average.

The Subaru WRX and STI come in number one with 18.80 percent of its drivers with at least one speeding ticket on record. The WRX/STI is followed by the Hyundai Genesis Coupe (17.72%), Kia Stinger (16.58%), Mazda3 16.36%, Subaru BRZ (16.21%), Scion FR-S (16.01%), GMC 1500 (15.31%), Volkswagen GTI (14.95%), Subaru Impreza (14.81%), and Hyundai Veloster (14.65%).

The Subaru BRZ is not a surprise but a newcomer to the list for 2021. The BRZ sports coupe is not a high-performance model like the Subaru WRX STI but attracts fast-driving enthusiasts. Its twin, the Scion FR-S (now the Toyota 86), also makes the list.

The third Subaru model is a surprise. The Subaru Impreza sedan and the 5-Door compact car comes in at number nine again on the list of vehicles with the most speeding tickets. Last year the Impreza also made the list at number nine. The Impreza compact car is an entry-level compact car that is sporty but certainly not fast.

The Impreza is not a sports car like the WRX and STI models. The compact sedan and hatchback are designed for fuel economy producing only 152 horsepower, less than half the Subaru WRX STI.

Insurify identified Subaru as the car brand with the second most speeding tickets behind Alfa Romeo earlier this year. It looks like Subaru is now number one with the sport-tuned Subaru WRX, performance-tuned WRX STI, BRZ sport coupe, and Impreza compact car, toping the top 10 car list in 2021.

I don't know how people speed in these slow af cars. But I know how they get caught. Either high af, and they're too slow to run
