Three easy? tips to help change the time on your cars clock

Mercedes-Benz has released a new video for owners of one of their new luxury cars to demonstrate how to change the time. Why does it have to be so difficult?

Did you change the time on your car clock and spring forward with the time change this weekend? If you own a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle, you probably haven’t sprung forward yet because your car clock is too complicated to figure out. And if you are like most people, you just give up and it will be weeks before you find the time to change the clock.

Technology is a wonderful thing, but it’s too much when you can’t figure out how to change the time on your car clock. One Mercedes owner commented that she has owned five Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and each one had a different way to change the time and they weren’t all that easy to figure out. Why do automakers have to make it so difficult just to change the time or the radio station?

It’s so complicated to change the time on a car, that one Mercedes-Benz dealer in South Charlotte is offering their customers complimentary clock adjustments. The Mercedes-Benz dealer said, “Are you ready to Spring forward into daylight saving time today? Let Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte assist you in moving ahead. Call us to schedule an appointment for a complimentary clock adjustment.”

Now something is wrong with this picture if we have to schedule an appointment to change the time on our car clock. It would take hours in most auto dealers to get this done. First you call and schedule your appointment, and then take at least an hour to two hours waiting to get your “complimentary clock adjustment” done.

Owners can also spend an hour thumbing through their owners manual to try to figure it out. Or if you are like most people, you will do anything to avoid the complicated owners manual. Many people will search the internet for the answer. Try a quick search like this: “How to set the clock in a (insert your car’s make/model)”. If you’re struggling to reset your car’s clock, chances are a fellow driver has already written about it online. And unfortunately, many of us will get so frustrated with the process that we just leave it, knowing it will be right again in November.

But Mercedes-Benz has come to the rescue and has a video showing its owners how to spring forward with the time change. So Mercedes-Benz owners may want to look at the video that Mercedes-Benz released. It takes more than a few minutes if you want to know the correct time while your’e in the car. Does it really need to be this difficult?
