The Subaru Crosstrek is Subaru of America's best-selling model this year. What sets the Crosstrek apart?

The fuel mileage is one significant reason the Crosstrek is the number one selling model for SOA. Customers are looking for affordability, utility, all-wheel-drive, and fuel efficiency. The Crosstrek offers all four.

Crosstrek gets excellent fuel mileage

The 2.0-liter CVT models achieve EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28/33 city/highway and 30 combined mpg. The 6-speed manual models are rated 22/29 city/highway and 25 combined mpg. The 2.5-liter Boxer engine achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27/34 city/highway and 29 combined mpg.

Standard all-wheel-drive and X-Mode

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek subcompact SUV rides higher with extra ground clearance (8.7-inches) than other small SUVs, and all trim levels come standard with Subaru's Symmetrical all-wheel-drive.

The Sport and Limited trims also have a new dual-function X-Mode for added off-pavement capabilities. The new system has settings for Snow and Dirt mode to the new Deep Snow/Deep Mud Mode and is best for sand where traction is compromised.

Affordability

Even with a recent price increase, the 2022 Crosstrek is affordable. The base trim is priced from $24,320, Premium ($25,470), Sport ($28,670), Limited ($30,170) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($37,520). Prices include destination and delivery fees that increase ($1,175).

Should customers wait for the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

The Crosstrek is a carry-over model with no upgrades except for the 2023 Crosstrek Special Edition trim level. There is no advantage to waiting as all 2023 Subaru Crosstrek trim levels get a $600 price increase, including destination and delivery fees.

The 2023 Crosstrek base trim is priced from $24,870, Premium, ($26,020), Special Edition ($27,970), Sport ($29,220), Limited ($30,720) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($38,070). Prices include destination and delivery fees ($1,225).

When will the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek arrive?

The 2023 Crosstrek subcompact SUV will begin arriving at Subaru showrooms this summer. Before the 2023 Crosstrek Special Edition gets here, the 2022 models are the number one selling model in the lineup and the number one selling subcompact SUV in 2022.
