New Subaru BRZ tS Breaks Cover At Subiefest With Performance Upgrades

What changes are coming to the 2024 Subaru BRZ sports coupe? Subaru of America (SOA) just revealed a new Subaru tS at Subiefest with performance upgrades. Those who attended Subiefest on Sunday were the first to see the new BRZ before SOA reveals the sports car later today, July 24. 

A report from The Drive was able to find out a few details from attendees on Reddit and YouTube. Here is what we know about the 2024 Subaru BRZ tS. As they did in 2020, Subaru will bring back the BRZ tS to U.S. customers that added goodies from Subaru Tecnica International (STI) that bumped up performance over the standard sports coupe.

According to The Drive report, this new Subaru BRZ tS won't be limited, like the previous-generation BRZ tS. The last-gen car was limited to only 300 units for U.S. customers. The report says the 2024 BRZ tS will not be limited in number and will be available as a permanent production model. 

The new BRZ tS will come with Brembo brakes, gold calipers, and Hitachi dampers. As we reported here at Torque News last week, the BRZ will be the first U.S.-specification model with a 6-speed manual transmission with Subaru's Eyesight driver assistance system with adaptive cruise control.

Subaru of America will officially announce the new Subaru BRZ tS later today. When Subaru uncovers the new BRZ for everyone, Scott Speed will be the first to drive the new 6-speed manual transmission model equipped with EyeSight driver assist safety technology.
