Rolls-Royce enters video games - Wraith now in Forza Motorsport 5
One of the most-anticipated car driving video games is Forza Motorsport 5, which was announced last year and launched in November. With some of the biggest names in automotive, in both vehicle marque and personalities like Jeremy Clarkson, it's the most popular car racing video game on the market.
Now it's also the first one to officially feature a Rolls-Royce product. In this case, it's the high-powered and beautiful Wraith.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith joins other awesome cars, most of which were announced in October, including some other new additions that are now available as downloads. These include the Formula E race car for the Formula One-style electric car races to begin in the next F1 season. Also included is the new 2015 Ford Mustang GT.
The Wraith's sweeping fastback design appears complete with a Bespoke Starlight Headliner consisting of over 1,340 fiber optic lamps as one of the coolest looks you'll see in the game. The 624bhp derived from the car’s 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine is delivered effortlessly courtesy of Satellite Aided Transmission, a cutting-edge technology that marries the car’s gearbox to GPS data to ensure Wraith is always in the correct gear, therefore poised to deliver its abundant power. The game reflects this tech carefully, making for a unique in-game driving experience.
