Husqvarna releases photos of the ugly-but-awesome 2012 Nuda 900R

A week ago, we brought you a spy video of Husqvarna testing their new prototype bike. Now they've released the studio photos to the public. My thoughts? Well, I'm truly delighted to see how ugly it is. For example, a Platypus is basically a beaver that lays eggs, has a duck bill, and is venomous. It's incredibly ugly, but you can't deny that the Platypus is awesome.

BMW, who is now Husqvarna's dad, always has a knack for making motorcycles with that delicate balance of unattractiveness and bad-assedness (I know it's not a word, but it works here.) It looks like they've brought that design concept to Husqvarna as well.

This bike is clearly super-moto inspired, and while it's much too large to be a true super-moto, these style bikes are incredibly fun to ride on the street. I trust that this one would be no different. Just look at it, it truly does look like an rip-roaring good time

It looks incredibly "clean" as well, with little to no wiring hanging around and little clutter covering anything. The only glaring afterthought seems to be the cooling system. That radiator has as much style as a Romanian donkey circus.

The 900cc engine even looks fun. In the BMW bikes who have the derivative of the 900R motor, the whole engine is all grey and stodgy and boring. Like eating mini-wheats without the frosting. In the Husqvarna however, it's grey, black and a splash of red. I trust that since they increased the BMW 800cc parallel twin cylinder engine to 900cc that horsepower and fun-factor have been increased as well. The BMW 800 has always been rated as a great engine, if not a little boring. If BMW bothered to change it, making it more fun would be all they needed to do.

If that bike has 100hp, be prepared to have a good time.
