Today is National Dog Day and social media is filled with people celebrating their pets. Fiat Chrysler also has reason to celebrate. It is the only automaker with two vehicles on Autotraders' list of “10 Best Cars for Dog Lovers: 2019 Edition”. The website singles out both the 2019 Jeep Wrangler and the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica minivan.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Gives Ultimate Outdoor Experience

In highlighting the 2019 Jeep Wrangler, Autotrader says “The Wrangler's removable top and doors allow your dog the ultimate "head out the window" experience.” Isn’t that the truth! The 2019 Jeep Wrangler gives drivers the opportunity to totally remove the doors, and the top, giving the driver the best of both worlds. Jeep has upgraded the Wranglers’ interior to be more comfortable, no matter where the dog is riding. The Jeep is already the most recognizable vehicle in the world and now it is recognized for being fun for your pets, as well.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Equipped with Safety Warnings

Autotrader also highlights the 2019 Jeep Wrangler for its great safety systems, which make the vehicle safer for both two and four-legged passengers. The Jeep Wrangler has forward- collision warning and braking as well as added creature comforts like heated seats to make sure your furry friend is well cared for. Navigation radio also helps improve safety so you and your fur friend are never lost.

2019 Jeep Wrangler Has Mopar Pet-Friendly Accessories

Because it is so common for Jeep owners to have pets, Mopar has developed a line of pet-friendly accessories. Just some examples include a lightweight Mopar pet kennel that has two pockets, three doors and a carrying handle. The kennel has tie- down straps to secure it to prevent sliding. Mopar also has all-weather floor mats and cargo mats to protect the interior. Plus, there are several different leashes available to make sure your fur friend is comfortable and secure especially during off-roading.

2019 Chrysler Pacifica Also Tops for Dog Lovers

Autotrader notes that the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica’s size makes it “Ideal for large families with large dogs.” The many Mopar accessories are perfectly designed for the Pacifica’s cargo area. The Pacifica also has lots of extra storage for dog toys and accessories. “A low loading floor and sliding side-door windows that roll down are more dog-friendly features, and the tall ceiling and low rear bumper make it easy to use a rear ramp for dogs who can no longer jump up.”

Varied List of Vehicles for Dog Lovers

Autotrader does not select a best vehicle, only narrows the list down to the top ten, in alphabetical order. The website also points out that safety improvements across the board make things better for protecting your pet when traveling. Leather seats are more durable and often easier to clean. Tinted windows help keep the pets cooler when riding. Flat cargo areas make it easier for larger pets to stand or lay securely. Cargo tie-downs are very important for securing crates or carriers.
