The news comes from Antonio Filosa, the Chief Operating Officer for Stellantis. Filosa posted about the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe on LinkedIn. Filosa called out the Detroit Assembly Complex where the Jeep Grand Cherokee is built for the good news.
Filosa said,
“The incredible team at the Detroit Assembly Complex (DAC) has reached an amazing milestone: producing the 100,000th Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid!
This moment is a testament to the dedication and passion of the people behind every vehicle that rolls off the line.
Since its launch, the Grand Cherokee 4xe has found its place on roads, trails, and in driveways across the country.
A HUGE thank you to our customers and the hardworking DAC team for making this achievement possible.
Here’s to the adventures still ahead: 100,000 strong and counting.”
One of Filosa’s followers, Ronald D. responded, “I love my Jeep PHEV. Nearly 80% of 10,000 miles as electric only. Zero range anxiety. I have no idea how the transmission controls people were able to make the transition from electric to gas completely seamless. Great vehicle.”
