Where Is The New Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness?

When will Subaru launch the new rugged Crosstrek Wilderness? Outdoor enthusiasts will have to wait another model year. Here's why it's delayed.

The 2022 Subaru Outback and Forester Wilderness rugged outdoor trim levels have been wildly successful for Subaru of America. Subaru announced the 2023 Crosstrek, and no Wilderness trim is coming this year. When will Subaru offer the Crosstrek Wilderness for customers in North America?

Outdoor enthusiasts will have to wait until next year to get the more rugged 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness trim level. The outdoor trim will likely be announced in late 2022 or early 2023.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness

Why is Subaru waiting so long to bring out the new Crosstrek Wilderness? Subaru wants to bring the all-new Wilderness trim level when the third-generation models get a complete remodel for the 2024 model year to create even more excitement for the subcompact SUV and the brand.

Why did Subaru decide to wait another year to give Crosstrek a complete remodel?

The Crosstrek is Subaru of America's hottest-selling model. In a year where there are plant shutdowns, supply chain issues, and microchip shortages, Subaru has chosen to wait on the third-generation model.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness

When will Subaru launch the next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and Impreza will get a complete remodel and launch sometime in 2023. Subaru will announce the Crosstrek Wilderness with the new 2024 base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Hybrid trim level upgrades.

Will the Crosstrek Wilderness get the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine?

It's not likely the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek will get the FA24 2.4-liter turbocharged engine upgrade like the Outback Wilderness. Look for the Crosstrek Wilderness to be powered by the naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter Boxer engine like the Sport and Limited trims.

What is the price of the Crosstrek Wilderness?

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness will slot between the Sport and Limited trim levels and be priced around $3,000 more than the Sport trim. Look for the Crosstrek Wilderness to be priced just under $30,000.

The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness will have increased ground clearance (9.2-inches), 17-inch black wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires, dual-function X-Mode, StarTex upholstery, a 180-degree front monitor, anodized Copper interior, and exterior accents, and Wilderness badging.

Outdoor enthusiasts will have to wait until the 2024 Crosstrek model year for the more rugged Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness trim level, which will likely be available in the summer of 2023. Stay tuned.
