The GLA comes standard with lots of features to make life easier. GLA comes with 18-inch wheels, 8 airbags, chrome roof rails and a power lift gate and split folding rear seats for carrying extra cargo. It’s an ideal multi-purpose vehicle for those with active lifestyles.

GLA has undergone severe testing

Under neath it comes with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed duel clutch automatic. Mercedes says the GLA mules were tested in over 1.1 million miles of extreme test-driving around the globe. This should help ensure trouble-free ownership as many buyers are concerned about purchasing a new untested vehicle.

4MATIC AWD for active lifestyles

"GLA comes with 18-inch wheels…" Mentioned as if these impractical wheels/tires are a positive – and most "reviewers" will herd-like repeat. With little rubber between the wheel-rim and road the ride will be rough, the wheels will get damaged, fuel mileage will suffer and replacement costs are high. Positives – little to none. For Mercedes and others: I will not be buying an SUV with 18,19,20,21,22 inch, ad infinitum, wheels. I'll leave the idiotic, uninformed, fad to others.

You're absolutely correct, but the big wheels fad is consumer driven; manufacturers are just giving buyers what they want. It is a case of the customer not being always right, though.
