U.S. News compiled a list of the best SUVs under $25,000. "It's important to note that many models crest that price point in higher trims or with added options, but the base trims of each model come with extremely reasonable price tags. So, if you're willing to flex a bit and do without the most desirable features, you can get away with a very good deal," says U.S. News.

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek starts at $23,645. U.S. News gives the 2023 Crosstrek an overall score of 7.7/10.
"The Subaru Crosstrek brings an outdoorsy attitude to its segment, and it comes with standard all-wheel drive. Subaru offers a pair of engine choices, including the range-topping 182-horsepower four-cylinder. Both pair with a continuously variable transmission. Though far from sporty, the Crosstrek provides a comfortable ride and decent handling. The all-wheel-drive system also makes it pretty capable in the snow."
"The Crosstrek's cabin is not the most attractive or elaborately designed, but there's ample space, and Subaru's tech is reasonably easy to use. A 6.5-inch touch screen comes standard, but a larger 8-inch unit is available, and both come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto."
What about the all-new 2024 Crosstrek?
The 2024 Crosstrek gets new upgrades and a complete remodel. It could propel the small SUV to the top of the list, and SUV shoppers should wait for the next-generation model.
The Crosstrek gets a new 11.6-inch tablet-style multimedia screen, a wireless smartphone charger, and USB-A and USB-C ports in the front and rear.
The game-changing improvement could be the Crosstrek's new front seat design. Subaru Corporation completely redesigned the seats for maximum riding comfort and used a medical approach.
All 2024 Crosstrek trim levels come with the next-generation EyeSight safety technology with a new wide-angle mono camera. The safety technology provides a broader field of view with improved pedestrian and cyclist protection while driving on busy city streets.
The ultimate off-road trim level is the new outdoor-themed 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. It gets new Wilderness upgrades for getting further off the grid.
What is Crosstrek's fuel mileage?
The EPA released the next-generation 2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.5-liter engine in the Sport and Limited trim level's gas mileage. The EPA report reveals the 2024 Crosstrek 2.5-liter engine gets one mile per gallon less in the city and highway mileage than the 2023 models.

For 2024, the Crosstrek will be available in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Wilderness trim levels and has a starting price of $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission).
The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225).
What is the price of the Crosstrek Wilderness?
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness will be the most expensive Crosstrek trim level. The all-new Crosstrek Wilderness costs $33,290, including dealer destination and delivery fees ($1,295).
