Nissan celebrates the 100,000+ LEAF owners

So far, more than a hundred thousand people worldwide have purchased a Nissan LEAF. Nissan is utilizing some interesting crowd-sourced social outreach to share those owners' stories. Check it out.

The Nissan LEAF is the best-selling electric vehicle of all time, with global sales of more than 100,000 units with nearly half of those being in the United States. It's estimated that, collectively, owners have saved more than $28 million in gasoline costs globally.

Nissan wants to celebrate this achievement and the people who made it happen, electric adopters worldwide, and has launched a new program called Real Owners. Real Questions. This lets current LEAF owners share their stories and reasons for owning a Nissan LEAF with anyone who'd like to know what EV ownership is like. Nissan hopes this will help inspire the next 100,000 LEAF buyers.

So far, the Real Owners. Real Questions. crowd-sourced website has managed to collect more than 500 quotes, 200 images, and original videos from LEAF owners globally. With dynamic search tiles and suggestive search functionality, the new website brings the most relevant things to the viewer it can find.

Curious? Ask a question in the search bar and find out things like what the longest trip taken for owners has been, how much money they've saved in gasoline costs, and more. The site integrates things uploaded to it directly, shared with it via Facebook, and more to make it easy for LEAF owners to both share their experiences and answer questions they see on their threads and networks.
