Best New-Car Deals for July 4th Recommended by Consumer Reports

However, as in all things, timing is an important car shopping factor and according to Consumer Reports automotive experts for new car shoppers, now is the time to shop for some special deal models with this year’s 4th of July Holiday specials.

Car Shopping This July 4th Holiday

According to a recent Consumer Reports newsletter, you do not want to wait until the 4th of July to take advantage of discounted prices with popular models that will last only as long as their supplies.

“Car dealerships are celebrating Independence Day with discounted prices on select new cars leading up to the holiday weekend and in some cases, beyond. There are some true fireworks with the prices this year, revealing significant savings on a wide range of car types from 8 percent to 16 percent off MSRP—if you know where to look,” states CR automotive experts in the newsletter.

After analyzing current national incentives focused on new car deals, Consumer Reports’ analysts found ten models worth considering that not only possess strong overall scores factoring in road-test performance, owner satisfaction, reliability, and safety; but also range in new incentive discounts 8-16% below current MSRP sticker prices for this top car buying holiday.

That said, here is a summary of the current listings to help consumers find their new car deals to fit a range of budgets which CR analysts focused on as their recommended deals:

 “All models featured below have nationwide incentives that are good until at least July 1, 2024, with several extending to July 8, 2024. We filtered out models expected to sell for over $50,000, even with the available discounts. That means each is available for less than the average price of a new car today.”
