Infiniti opens into the Vietnamese market

Nissan's premium brand Infiniti is stretching its legs once again, this time entering the Vietnamese market.

The Infiniti brand is now officially in Vietnam, opening yet another world market to premium vehicles from the company. The inauguration of the first Infiniti Center showroom was held in Ho Chi Minh City and the dealership opened for business, showcasing Infinit's full-size sport utility, the QX80, and its best-selling crossover, the QX70.

The Infiniti Center in Vietnam adopts the signature IREDI (Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative) design concept. This is a distinctive, original Infiniti branded retail environment, with a look and feel that aligns with Infiniti’s brand identity consistently around the world. Many Americans would recognize this showroom for its similarity to that of those here.

Infiniti plans to become a global offering and has been achieving global record sales as it expands. The brand is growing in 31 markets around the world now, with its strongest being the United States, China, and the Middle East. Sales are also strong in Canada and Western Europe.

To further its expansion, the premium brand is broadening its lineup with a larger product portfolio. In the next five years, Infiniti will add 60 percent to its total offerings, and has recently begun expanding its manufacturing and engine building capabilities through key partnerships with other premium brands as well as parent company Nissan. Infiniti's current manufacturing footprint is primarily in the United States and Japan, but they are adding three more countries on three separate continents to that list of manufacturing bases over the next five years.
