The 2015 Ford Mustang Looks Dashing in Competition Orange (Video)

The 2015 Ford Mustang recently debuted at the 2014 Spokane Auto Show in Washington and one attendee took it upon himself to do a quick walk around video of the new S550 Mustang in Competition Orange – which looks as great as we expected.

We have now seen the 2015 Ford Mustang in a variety of the 10 colors that will be offered at launch at the various auto shows around the country but we hadn’t previously seen Competition Orange outside of the colorizer feature on Ford’s 2015 Mustang minisite. The 2015 Mustang made its grand debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Triple Yellow, Black and Guard after we first met the newest pony car in Race Red and Magnetic back on December 5th. The Mustang will likely be one of the main attractions at all of the auto shows in the US and around the world over the next year or so, but show goers at the 2014 Spokane Washington Auto Show got to meet the new Mustang in the sharp looking Competition Orange.

The 2015 Ford Mustang in Competition Orange at the Spokane Auto show appeared in either V6 or EcoBoost form based on the lack of 5.0L badges on the front fenders and the absence of the Mustang GT’s rear spoiler. I have always been a fan of Competition Orange and, while it could be the quality of the video or the lighting at the show playing tricks, this new Competition Orange appears to be a touch darker than what we have seen on past Mustangs. Even with that in mind, I really like the look of this bright orange paint on the S550 Mustang and I expect that this will quickly become a popular choice for 2015 Mustang buyers.

As an interesting note, the 2015 Ford Mustang shown in the video below does not wear any of the rim options currently listed on the 2015 Mustang minisite. The design is simple so I would guess that these could be one of the optional wheel choices for those S550 buyers who are opting for the base model V6. They could also be available with the 2015 EcoBoost Mustang but we will have to wait until more information is available to know for sure which models will come with which wheel choices.

Check out the video below for a closer look at the 2015 Ford Mustang in Competition Orange from all angles. There is no significant sound with the video so this is the kind of clip that you can get the most out of while watching it muted at work. Props to YouTube user KFactor92 for grabbing this great walk around video of the Competition Orange Mustang…all of us who didn’t make it to the Spoken show appreciate it greatly!
